My 20’s..The Future

I have no idea what the future holds for me but I believe that in my 20s I will just about be done with getting my 1st bachelors’ degree and going into medical school to become a doctor. This is one of the goals I hope to accomplish by the beginning of my 20s. About this same time I hope to already have a job in a hospital, not as a doctor obviously, but as an intern or part of work-study so that I can learn what really goes on in a hospital. I also believe I will be going to medical school in California and permanently making California my home. To me my 20s will be the beginning of my future, where most of my goals will be accomplished. I also hope to have a steady relationship and be on the path to having a great job and starting my adult life the right way. At the same time I hope that, that decade the U.S. economy will improve so that I can have a chance at finding the job I want and have an opportunity to earn as much as I can, and hope that the new technologies available will change the world around me.

The article I chose was that of two photojournalists who were killed in Libya during its recent struggle with rebels. A British born documentary maker and a New York photographer were killed in Tripoli street one the most violent places in Libya that have been overwhelmed with violence. The reason I think this article is important is that students need to now about current events and what is happening in the world. The article is mainly about the Libyan conflict and the circumstances surrounding these two journalists deaths. The article describes a battle-torn Libyan city that is full of tank shells and rockets destroying residential areas. The text goes on to say that the Libyan government should protect reporters who are trying to bring knowledge about the events to those around the world. That is why I chose this article because it informs on a real issue facing people in Libya and how those trying to bring acknowledgement about this upheaval are being killed in violent Libyan cities taken over by rebels and government troops.

Technology Tip

The tip i found which i somewhat recently found out was that when you get your phone wet you can repair it. The first thing you have to do in order to save your wet phone is to act fast. Quickly remove all the detachable parts as well as covers possible such as the back cover, battery, the SIM card, memory card etc. Next, take a piece of cloth or a tissue paper to wipe the water you are able to notice in the mobile phone. Make sure that you dry it completely and If you don’ t do this, the water inside the mobile phone will begin to evaporate and gather in places which would be hard to reach. Best tip i could think of.

Due March 28th. This is a video i forgot to upload but its just a chill song that i liked since i was young and being from L.A., it basically was what i thought of as a good day.

I believe spring break is important to college students since it provides a week long break from college responsibilities such as school work. The picture I chose is the one of my car back home since without it I wouldn’t have gone anywhere or done anything. I mostly hung out with friends and found things to pass the time, for me this spring break was more about relaxing since my classes were hard and I did not have money to go to Calle Ocho or Orlando like I planned on. According to many sites spring has been around since the end of WWII when Florida was a major hotspot for spring break. George Warren Bill Jr. according to most sites was the founder of the spring break phenomenon in Florida. The idea behind spring break was to escape from winter cold weather so many people in cold areas would shortly migrate around the same time to most common warmer areas. The research I found explained that those were possible reasons why we have spring and why it is still a common thing across the U.S. and few other countries.

The article I found was a part of the New York Times newspaper; the article was an analysis of how public universities and private universities face a competition against colleges in student’s admissions. Due to the dramatic budget cuts and rise in tuition, student may opt to enter a community college rather than a four year college due to how expensive tuition has become. I believe this demonstrates an acceptable/credible fear since many college students tend to look for the cheaper way to get an education. The government has allowed budget cuts to universities that will draw more and more students to 2 year community colleges due to their affordability.

The reason I chose this photo is because it shows me at a young age being happy with my life and enjoying the time I had with my family, especially since i dont take too many photos with them. The photo was taken in 2003 at the time I was only 10 years old.

A viral video is an online video that over time has become popular through sharing over Internet websites and even email. The most famous viral videos are usually comedy skits portrayed on TV shows or by those who post their own videos online. Usually most viral videos are humorous but the requirement for a video to be viral is only that it needs to be shared from person to another person online; this is the only way for a video to go viral. TV shows, and Internet sites have contributed to the rise of viral videos due to the sharing aspect of some websites. Their are hundreds of websites designed to share and post videos one specifically, Facebook for example has allowed the sharing of videos through friends and advertisements on the web page; sharing videos can be as easy as pressing a button. Other sites such as youtube have made it possible to post any videos, or funny clips from movies to the web for the public to see. An example of a viral video would be “dick in a box” a skit by Saturday night live that has had over a couple million views. This is the video shown above that has gained success over time. Shows like Tosh.O have given regular people a chance to gain their 15 minutes of fame due to their humorous or incredible videos posted online through youtube. Normal people who have decided to share certain things online have been given a chance to be known and recognized.
